This week..
— May I present to you the newest member of our family.. the in-ground trampoline T and I dug by hand! It’s 14’ diameter and 36in deep in the center. We used Grandpa’s pickup-box trailer and took 7 full loads of dirt/sand (if I kept track!). T started by driving to the dump to unload and he weighed 9,600lbs! They even commented how heavy that load of sod was! Thankfully they directed him to a construction company that would take the dirt as long as we pulled out any roots. Even though we positioned it in the trees (it’s shaded almost all day!) we had only a small pile of roots. And we uncovered one sprinkler line which was off to the side and didn’t need repositioned. We felt very very fortunate. More than a few golfers stopped to tease us while we worked - a few guessed we were putting in a water feature. But the kids are LOVING it (even in this 100F heat!). We had a few minor injuries and a couple scares the first few jumps but Cal has quickly gained control of his body- ha!
