Tonight got away from me so just a few thoughts before I head to bed..
— we had an amazing weekend celebrating Gma’s one hundredth birthday! She’s an incredible matriarch of our family and we were so fortunate to be together to celebrate her and her amazing life.
— we were thankfully able to spend the weekend in Omaha (thanks to my partner who switched call with me!) so we got to celebrate Easter as a family as well. The kids had an Easter egg hunt (where neither of them cared that the eggs were stuffed- they simply enjoyed the hunt). Elle passed eggs from her basket to Cal’s and then asked for us to rehide her eggs a few more times. Mom cooked a delicious, classic meal. The house was filled with live music from my BIL. Elle and Cal had an absolute blast with their extended family and we got an evening away with my siblings to stroll the Old Market/Riverfront and share Sushi at Blue! What a fantastic weekend!
