This week..
— Elle enthusiastically “read” us stories from library books. She didn’t care if they were written in Somali or Spanish or English - she was able to “read” a great story from each of them! She loved having Gigi here this week (she stayed with us a few nights as T was out of town for work and church). Gigi makes the best grilled cheese sandwiches (as Elle often reminds us) and she is also willing to play Barbie’s in Elle’s loft and read bedtime books (what a treat!). Elle had a birthday party at the local pottery painting store and she was able to pick up her fired piece today. She is already making big plans about convincing Gigi and Pap pap to take her back!
— Cal spent a solid hour climbing up and back down the ladder we had out in the garage. He would climb until the very top rung and then ask if he could climb further (even though he knew the answer was going to be no). He is thankfully a fan of bath time again - it was a rough couple months where we were about as wet as he was! Now he and Elle play nice together. In fact! He and Elle played together for almost an hour this weekend in the playroom with only a few screams at each other but without any help from us parents. SUCH an exciting milestone!
