This week..

-- Elle's language has been particularly funny and dramatic. Things are repeatedly called "a disaster!" or other 3-4 syllable words that escape my mind now. She had a school Christmas program where they sang 3 songs with cute little actions. Elle walked into the church with her hands held behind her back and perfectly in her spot. Her face lit up as she spotted her parents and knew all of the words, well.. at least her version. Feliz Navidad was pretty unrecognizable. She fluctuates between totally annoyed and totally enthralled with her younger brother. She especially loves demanding he follows her strict rules.

-- Callum has a new smile in his repertoire. He continues to be fiercely independent which now includes when he helps me in the kitchen. He has a little smirk when he is doing something that is likely above his skill/safety level - like helping me with the hand mixer. His new smile is closed-mouth and a little asymmetrical. It's charming. His overall week was a roller coaster as he dealt with 4 teeth erupting simultaneously but he can continued to be entertained with high-energy activities. In fact, the other night, the kid ran laps across our bedroom for a solid 2 hours after bedtime. What a busy age this is!
