This week..

— Callum smelled festive as he unplugged a Bath and Bodyworks wall scent and proceeded to pour the oil on himself and the wood floor. He (separately) learned to say “uh oh” which is quite fitting. He is in and out of the kitchen cabinets constantly throughout the day and he will just reach his little hand up blind to grab from where he can’t even see. We learned that 3 Musketeers is a great Halloween candy because it is so easy for him to take small bites from compared to the more dense options. He loves to be where Elle is - even when he is unwelcome. He’s starting to dance when he hears music and you can sometimes catch a “hooray!” if hears “If you’re happy and you know it” playing in the background.

— Elle fluctuates from yelling “Mom!! Can you come get Cal?!” to man-handling him to nicely playing with him. Today she built a fort in the living room and was quite upset that he kept barging in. She’s recovering from a fierce cough so she’s been making herself a bed on our bedroom floor. She feels pretty special to get to sleep in our room! Her imagination continues to be grand - she was pretending to be my hairstylist for my wedding today and she kept a cute little line of small talk going. “So, how are you? Do you have kids? Well at MY last wedding..” She has also found a new set of YouTube videos she enjoys. She will watch people draw and then color in simple pictures and she likes these videos where people combine all different colors of slime/playdoh in one container. She is having fun with the holiday season - “Mom! Only 2 more days until my Thanksgiving Feast at school!” We had parent/teacher conferences this week and her teachers raved about her. She’s a great listener. Plays well with others. And has great skills like cutting, letter ID, etc. She’s going to thrive in Kindergarten next fall!
