This week..

— ended with a shift in Franklin. We taught Elle Simon says and her prompts were hilarious “Simon says jiggle like a worm! Get on the ground and jiggle!!” “Hop like a bunny! Guys! That’s NOT how a bunny hops. Like THISSSSS”. Cal is snatching snacks off our plates and into his mouth in record time. We are pretty convinced he says “done. All done.” after he drinks his milk. We rented a movie online and Elle was thoroughly disappointed we didn’t have popcorn. A bubble-making lawnmower and the game Pretty Pretty Princess were the new activities this trip. We also rented a different house where we were surrounded by sheep and cows as well a long views of the pastures around us. Elle was very disappointed it didn’t have a set of bunk beds or night stands. I found a step ladder which passed her standards as a night stand for her to line up the toys she packed. The stars aligned this shift and I was able to be home overnight to care for Cal and T was able to be on his zoom calls. We are starting to get this routine down: 2 large pizzas on Friday night, buy milk and ice cream when we pick them up. Pack paper plates, oatmeal for Mom, snacks for Elle, a full bag of yogurt melts for Cal, and plenty for everyone to drink  We have sufficient internet to stream entertainment and we are all a little squirrelly by the time we head home. We spent the down minutes this weekend looking forward to Easter and the kids birthdays. It feels like a lot of fun is just around the corner!
