This week..
-- Elle found an extra level of sass. She has an epic "eye roll" (the quotations are because she simply freezes her eyes straight up with a huff) especially when T talks about watching sports. She continues to sing her own, original songs including "my father went somewhere and growled at me like this grrrr. He didn't tell me why him diiiiiiiiiiidddd". She re-discovered an astronaut helmet she didn't initially take-to in her dress up clothes and has been wearing it many times each day. Most recently it protects her "so I don't smell the poop!". Her imagination is incredible. She decided there was a "serious thunderstorm" and that the house would blow on it's side so we had to gather the "important stuff" and sit in her bathroom. You can tell she's the first - before you know it the whole family is sitting on her cold tile floor as she instructs us to count "thunder.. whats those loud noises called?" "Booms?" "Yeah! We have to count the booms to know if the storm is over".
-- Cal is happier in the last 24-48 hours as both of his front teeth have erupted. They still have a way to go before anyone else notices them but he's just a drooly kid chewing on anything in front of his face instead of the kid clinging to everyone. You now find circles of slobber all over the room as he crawls and rolls and pulls to get wherever he's interested. He's tolerant of these mild winter days as he follows his sister's scooter in the stroller. He doesn't mind when she comes up behind him and plops him around but he still is quick to grasp and rip her hair.
