This week..
— Elle tried to understand something she learned at daycare: “Mom.. someone at daycare told me that cows eat a lot of hay and then they turn in to a hamburger! Did you know that?!” She’s been especially defiant this week so we’ve spent the weekend trying to give her as much attention as we can afford. On my day off, we dyed water with food coloring and spent the morning mixing the colors in her water table. She also played with the “foam” she made completely pumping/emptying a Bath and Body Works soap. The morning ended with her losing hose privileges after she intentionally sprayed Mom, baby brother, and into the house. Another morning she spent a solid hour playing in a puddle of mud where I planned to replant a rose bush. She is incredibly awesome.. until she isn’t. Sounds like a 3 year old, right?!
— Cal joined Elle at daycare the last day of the week and it seemed to go well. He doesn’t seem to wake quite as starving so we get more awake minutes with big, gummy smiles and “chatter”. He loves laying on his play-mat where his eyes dart between each of the suspended toys. It is so fun to see more glimpses of his personality!
