This week..
-- Elle transitioned to a full-size mattress from her crib-turned-daybed.  She had been stubbornly resisting the idea so when one day at bedtime she was excited for "the girls to be strong!!" and move the mattress, we went for it! We just set it on the floor in her nursery so there wasn't too much change all at once. It's a definite change in the small room but it frees up the crib to be used for Cal as he gets closer to outgrowing the bassinet and is (hopefully) taking longer naps on his own. Elle has started to make large amounts of art/drawings at daycare. Our fridge is full of these creations and my favorite is her portrait of Travis. I'm hoping to take pictures of the favorites, document how she described the art, and someday print a photobook. T's cousin stopped over today as he started to drive back to Texas and Elle wanted to "invite ALL my friends over to meet him!". She has a hosting spirit that I love!
-- was the last full week of maternity leave with Cal. He will start attending daycare on Friday. Mornings will be the trickiest thing for us to adjust to - especially because my schedule isn't consistent (it depends on if I have patients in the hospital to see before clinic, OBs, or scheduled c-sections!). I'm fairly confident he will do well with daycare - he is a happy cuddler and has taken bottles well at home. We have a good freezer stash of milk so he should be able to eat what he is in the mood for. It will be interesting to see if he develops a strict routine once he isn't home and therefore running around doing chores & errands. He will be with Elle at her daycare and she is excited to show him off! He will be 3 months next week but his is soon to transition to 3-6 month clothes. He has some cute outfits for church in this size including a set with suspenders he wore today. Boys are fun to dress too!

xo,

Krista
