"I want a bicycle with pedals.. like you and daddy. And I want it to have rainbows, unicorns, cupcakes, and the WHOLE world on it!" |
This week..
-- Elle is nearly back to normal except for the healing rash and a strong popsicle habit. She was THRILLED to be able to go to her Sunday School class. She lives for the songs with actions/instruments. Life was stressful this week because it was just hot enough to keep us indoors most of the evening and that is a little too much free-play for Elle. She either watches way too many television shows (it's such a good babysitter that the auto-play function on these streaming channels is dangerous!) or she gets herself in to trouble with creative activities like coloring her piece of bread at lunch with marker. I may have mentioned this before, but Elle has a song for everything. She'll often ask "Mom, want to hear by song about swings? Want to hear my song about ouchies? Want to hear my song about bedtime?" Then she will go on to compose a melody and lyrics on the spot. It's generally super cute except sometimes she wants you to sing a long and then is frustrated when you don't know it.
-- Cal is at such a fun age! He's so happy and cute that you can feel his joy distracting everyone near us at church. So far, he has stayed healthy from Elle's HF&M and the community's RSV and COVID. It's a stressful time to have a baby at daycare!
xo,
Krista
