— our daycare suddenly closed after a staff member contracted COVID. In many ways it was best-case-scenario as she was symptomatic before they returned from Christmas break and appropriately stayed home from work so no one else was exposed. Unfortunately, we have at least another week of squishing six young kiddos into whoever’s house has their “day off”. It’s fantastic chaos. Elle thinks this is wonderful (new toys at each house! No one is home with their parents on their day out-of-the-office!) and will probably be disappointed when we’re back to our normal routine.
— Elle seems to learn a new song daily. We’ve nearly mastered our ABC’s (which cracks me up because I’m not sure she has any idea what letter actually are.. the song must sound like a foreign language!) but this week she’s also loving “She’ll be coming around the mountain” and “Are you sleeping?”. She also makes her own little ditties like when we get to the grocery store “I love pizza! I loooooove pizza! I LOVE PIZZA!” She's just all-around adorable. Just now she loudly questioned, "remooooote! Where are you remote!".
