This week..
-- definitely wasn't what we would have hoped thanks to COVID but Elle had a fabulous holiday. She was giddy with excitement with each gift and they were well-picked to her interests and age. She now has a fun set of dress up clothes of different occupations, new books, a toddler digital camera, replacement paints, fire station doll house, and a bouncy house that fits indoors. We did a terrible job of calling/zooming/face-timing family (which we regret!) as toddler life keeps things quite busy. We enjoyed having a full weekend together with Christmas falling on Friday and especially enjoyed the mix of snow and warmer weather. Elle did say multiple times she "wants her WHOLE FAMILY here" which is equally parts sweet and heartbreaking. I received my first COVID immunization just before Christmas so we are one-step closer to returning to family gatherings!
