| A-for-effort during her spontaneous challenge to a "noodle battle" |
This week..
-- there are a lot of impromptu "jingle bells!" around this house. We've read our Christmas books enough to know our favorites. We hung a swing in our basement (a family Christmas gift we opened early) and Elle is having a blast trying to conquer it. The swing is best described as a hammock-chair so she often gets off balance or will try to climb in one leg before the other and it will swing around and throw her off. She doesn't get discouraged - she just giggles and keeps working at it! So far she has not tried to sneak and open any of the presents but she likes to look at the pile. She likes to recite which wrapping paper patterns are which family member! She also likes to color at the office desk and declares repeatedly "I'm doing homework!". She once scolded me for having the TV on in the room because it was interrupting her homework. Today I would draw a Christmas Tree outline and she would fill in the decorations. We probably have 10 papers with decorated trees on them now! This should be a fun week!
