This week..
-- we spent the weekend back home with family! Of course we introduced Elle to fireworks and some fun outdoor games like water balloons and giant bubbles. But, even better, we were able to visit with Great Grandma in person for the first time since the pandemic! Elle loved exploring her beautiful backyard garden and it was hilarious to hear what she thought she found (ex: Buddha statue was "boy pray!") and she had strong feelings that the bunny statue should be facing a different way and took the liberty to adjust it. Two is a such a funny age! We made it to a splash pad, playground, sushi takeout, candy/soda store, fresh doughnuts, and at one point I even saw Elle sitting on top of the neighbor's fake deer. Elle enjoyed the fireworks much more once Pap pap found some ear protection and hung for most of the evening. She especially loved holding her own sparkler. We turned Elle's carseat to forward facing for this trip so she was able to watch a movie with Dad on the drive there (Ferdinand the Bull). It was another fabulous weekend with family!
