— we had classic summer fun! Saturday we visited friends at their lake house and the spent the evening on a friend’s boat, picking up pizza from the dock, and enjoying the cool summer breeze as the sun set. As we drove home, the fields were filled with hundreds of fireflies that felt magical. Now we’re sitting on our covered porch listening to an afternoon rain shower. Earlier this week we spent our evenings at the playground, splash pad, and taking care of the yard.
— Elle cracks us up when she smells something as she scrunches her nose and take 4 or 5 quick breaths. She often signs Happy Birthday and will spread her leftover purple plates from her party naming who should sit at each seat. Elle looks like Dora the Explorer as she is most often found wearing her purple backpack filled with snacks. She even buckles the chest strap as she runs around the house. Sometimes she will exclaim she’s packing it because she’s headed to her best friend house.
