HO2-- WEEK 38

One of the doughnuts we baked with the girls at youth group this week
This week...
-- T was in Kansas City studying all-day all-night for one of the licenses required by his new job. He's been a champ devoting so much time with his "nose in the book" like my sister would say. There isn't an official test date yet - but hopefully he will be done in the next couple weeks!
-- I was able to sneak over to Holdrege one evening after work for the Phelps County Development Corporation annual dinner - with featured speaker Tom Osborne! It was a short visit (of course I drove by the soon-to-be-ours home!) but it was a good evening of networking and getting to know a few of my future co-workers better (and good food!). I even happened to meet the Mayor!
-- for the first time in my medical career I caught one of those utterly miserable head colds from Peds clinic! It's almost a given that you'll fall ill with something while rotating with pediatrics (I have been seeing 30+ sick kids daily!) but this is the first time in 5? 6? pediatric rotations it's happened to me. I guess I'm not super-human! Thankfully the worst of it landed on a weekend so I only had to suffer through one call-night before a few days to just relax.
-- house update: not much new news to report this week! We completed a few less-glamorous things like signing up for homeowner's insurance.. nothing too exciting. Hopefully (*fingers crossed*) there won't be any more "exciting" news until we close March 1st!

xo,
Krista
