HO2-- WEEK 39

T made us Sunday lunch: seared salmon + couscous + blood-orange salad with lemon vinaigrette
This week...
-- we don't have any fancy Valentine's day story. We didn't even go out to eat because I was on-call (though it was a very good call night, so no complaints!). We are too laid back for our own good! Don't worry, we will use it as an excuse next time we want to splurge at a fancy restaurant or something. We've had most nights/weekends together recently - as well as delicious Hello Fresh meals - so life is pretty good! It is so nice having most Saturdays together now that T only works Mon - Fri! We've never had weekends together in our 5+ years of marriage.
-- we took a short trip to Omaha (like, less than 24 hours short) but we packed it in! We spent time with family, spent time outdoors, ate some good food (table-side guacamole always = yes), and did some window shopping for the new house. I had a huge list of places I missed visiting since the move  but Nebraska Furniture Mart wore us out and we ended up call it quits early.
-- we've been snacking on ice cream hardcore because T's work mailed us eCreamery as a welcome gift! It was such a fun surprise! A styrofoam cooler was just waiting unexpectedly on our front steps one day! I've almost eaten the entire pint of mint chip and T is almost to the bottom of a vanilla bean.
-- house update: there were multiple properties in town closing the same day as us so we moved up the closing date! Less than 10 days and we'll sign our names 100+ times or w/e and call the place officially ours! We can't wait!

xo,
Krista
