HO2-- WEEK 36

🎶 dreams of new furnishings dance in my head 🎶

This week.. 

-- is my last week on labor & delivery (at least for a while!). It's one of my favorite places to work but it will be nice to be able to make some plans in the evening this upcoming month. I don't expect to have any of my patients deliver in February but I should have at least a couple in March!
-- we had journal club (traditionally, a meeting where a scientific journal article is reviewed -- but in our case, a 100% social gathering) and went to the Imax in Hastings, NE to see an interesting film about the Galapagos Islands. We followed the film with chatter and bar food before calling it a night. We have a good group out here so it's nice to have some dedicated social time!
-- home update: the inspections are complete! And *drumroll* no major issues! Of course there were comments on multiple things (basement door should open the opposite direction, no fire extinguisher in the detached garage, no timer on the bathroom fans, soot in the fireplace, too cold to test the new A/C units, and electric meter needs painted.. yada yada) but nothing that worried us or caused us to ask them to make repairs. We also sent what felt like 100 documents to the bank to finalize the mortgage (there cannot possibly be another detail of our life that they could ask us to document..).  So things are looking good for our March 1 closing date!
