HO2-- WEEK 35

This week..
-- T got to enjoy another day on the mountain because of the ice storm that moved through the midwest! Thankfully the ice was followed by some above-freezing temperature weather so Grand Island continued to function without much trouble. Unfortunately, I had to drive the rear-wheel-drive vehicle as T had the front-wheel-drive in Colorado.. but I made it to and from work okay! Most of the city had 1 or 2 snow days, but snow days don't really exist in the hospital! Thankfully we never lost power. This storm was one of the few in my lifetime that I remember pure ice without snow - it was gorgeous! The sun made the trees glisten like a beautiful ice-city. But it was a little scary as all the icicles fell/melted!
-- home update: we now know that termites are not an issue! We expect the radon and typical structure inspections should be completed this week (fingers crossed!). Other than uploading what feels like reams of paper for the mortgage, we've just been day-dreaming of how we can furnish each room and making spreadsheets to budget for the bigger purchases (fridge, dishwasher, washer/dryer, etc).

xo,
Krista
