M3-- WEEK TWENTY FOUR

We are waaayyyy behind on the Holiday Train. We've purchased only two gifts so far, have not started our Christmas Card, and only vaguely know how we will accomplish everything between now and then. It's all fun and games.. but we need to get ourselves organized :)

This week I was working with the Allergy & Immunology folks. I've had a blast seeing patients at their multiple locations around town. It's a field I've always been interested in - so this has been one of my favorite rotations. This is a really slow time for them (since everything is frozen!) but that left time for extra teaching. I was also given a complimentary skin test so that I could better understand it from the patient's perspective! The results? I'm super allergic to dust mites and cockroaches even on an antihistamine.. nothing new here! I'll spend the first part of this week with them as well before our end-of-rotation tests. This time we have a computerized exam on Thursday and an OSCE on Friday.

Outside of school and work, we are trying new recipes (this one), working on the office (pictures to come!), watching my favorite shows (this and this), renting movies (this one) and having friends over for dessert tonight!

My goal for this week is to study as much pediatrics as I can stand and do my best to not be distracted by holiday fun until Friday afternoon! Have a great week!

xo,
Krista
