M3-- WEEK ELEVEN

This week was another great one! We've stayed busy in clinic and I've been able to learn a lot. As good as it's been, I was counting down the hours until Friday afternoon when I was able to head home for 24 hours to celebrate my birthday! Grand Island has been awesome to me but life with T is so much better! Saturday we watched the Husker game with friends and then I found a few free minutes to do one of my favorite things.. shop! Then we hustled back to Grand Island to celebrate Grandpa's 75th birthday on Sunday with T's family. I am going to continue my birthday celebration next weekend with my family :)

23 Highlights From Year Twenty-Three
+ An amazing 2.5 week road trip with my favorite person, T!
+ Continuing house projects- this year we tackled the kitchen cabinets, upstairs bathroom, office, and our front patio. Of course I still have many more ideas :)
+ Passed my first set of board examinations!
+ T finally got to drive a race car after he was rained out last year!
+ All the time I've been able to spend directly interacting with patients this 3rd year (so much better than pure book work!)
+ Celebrating another year of marriage with my fantastic husband! He really is the greatest.
+ Continuing to cook and try new recipes. i love food
+ Spending lots of time with family - especially on camping trips and at our cabin.
+ Still having a "student schedule" and having time off.
+ Being able to stay with Grandparents while I have to be away from Omaha.
+ Meeting more amazing people and creating many more friends!
+ Successfully completing another 12 months of medical school.
+ Being able to visit some of our very best friends on our road trip.
+ T was able to take multiple trips: skiing, Indy 500, reunions, and graduations.
+ We spoiled ourselves with a new car!
+ Enjoying time outdoors camping & at our cabin- campfires, ATV, playing in the river, and target shooting.
+ Loving the community at our church and how it helps push us to continue to become the best version of ourselves we can be.
+ Lots of new babies to love on! Our friends & family have the cutest little ones!
+ Continuing to create healthy habits amongst our crazy schedules. Purchasing an elliptical machine has been so convenient!
+ Surviving the long hours of my surgery rotation but loving every second.
+ Eating as much ice cream as I can get away with before T gives me the look. I've eaten my way through Omaha's frozen dessert scene ;)
+ Continuing to simplify our lives by decluttering and keeping things low-drama.
+ Having so many amazing new experiences! Delivering babies, assisting in surgeries, traveling, meeting new people.. life is good!
