Grocery shopping at Walmart Saturday morning was probably the highlight. No, I take that back. Friday night I took my notes over to a friend's house and studied on their couch while their baby boy slept so they could slip away for a couple hours. They were especially nice and gifted me my favorite food- ice cream :) But seriously, that was my social highlight.
A big event from this week (in my eyes not a highlight because highlight implies something fun) was the OSCE. My besties had their OSCE the same day/time as I did, so we snapped a picture looking all official in our white coats. I know I will love having this picture to look back on and my favorite part is how we have matching bags under our eyes. These last few weeks really have been brutal. As far as the exam itself- I am still giggling about mine. OSCEs are usually where I shine in medical school (ask me to talk to a patient any day and they generally open up and provide a pretty good history, but put me on the spot and ask me questions- blah. that makes me nervous) But with this OSCE I am pretty sure I made the complete wrong diagnosis. whoops! Good thing they are fake patients! The worst part is I realized my mistake as soon as I went to write my note so I had to do the second half of the exam knowing that what I was documenting was wrong. Oh well. I won't mix those two conditions up again! I also thought we were being tested on hand hygiene because my room was out of hand sanitizer so I then had to use the sink to wash my hands (which takes longer and forces you to make some extra small talk). But, turns out it was just my room that was out.

Well, church is cancelled for us today due to weather so I plan to hop off this computer and spend the day snuggled with T on the couch. Speaking of weather, I snapped this picture earlier this week:
This little guy thought that Spring had begun. Poor guy. All this snow today is probably going to be the end of him. (I'm not sure where he came from because we didn't have any anything like him last year. But he was fun while he lasted!)
Have a great week! Be safe on those roads today!
xo,
Krista
