I jotted down a few of my thoughts while I was studying for our test last week:
- "When I was young I learned people got cancer. Then I learned that it infects specific body parts. But geez! Who knew there were so many kinds within each tissue!"
- "Studying pregnancy at this age is dangerous.. I find myself on Facebook looking at friend's babies and chatting about parenting styles with my study buddy instead of studying. Whoops!"
- "Learning about infertility due to people delaying children for education hits a little too close to home being a medical student."
- "I am so over looking at pictures of other people's infected genitals. C'mon people. Condoms!"

Some randomness from this week:
+ learned that my laptop will cost $330 to fix. bummer. T and I both got a laptop before starting college and they are both dated and on the fritz. That makes me feel old.
+ headed to the store the first free minute of break. We are now knee-deep in a bathroom update (and dangerously talking about if we can fit in a few other room's this break as well...) We should have before & after pictures for you by next week!
+ got together with friends last-minute for a birthday. We never turn down an excuse for cake, friends, babies, and chatter. (reason 1,002,301 why I love our neighborhood and our friends!)
+ we are dreaming of our Alaska vacation on pretty much a daily basis. Has anyone been? Any suggestions on what we should do while we are there?
My possible to-do list for break is 30+ items long (and many of those things could be a week-long project themselves!) So this week will be a careful balance of family, friends, projects, and chores. My plan is to also be a good medical student and get a few clinic visits in as well- wish me luck!!
xo,
Krista
Isn't it just your laptop screen that is broken? If its just the screen its an easy fix. Let me take a look at it. I'd only charge you for the part and at most thats $75.
