M2- WEEK TWENTY SIX

Today is going to be a short, picture filled post. T and I were busy bees this week and quite honestly, thinking back through it is only going to stress me out a bit. We had some fun too, promise!
Some random pictures of T from this week (can you tell I like the guy by how many pictures of him I take?)
Although this week was busy, we have priorities --> good eats! Saturday we had another couple over for dinner (build-your-own taco salads and/or nachos) and they brought an awesome Brazilian mango juice. We love to try new things! The new Indian food place we ate at Monday for a friend's birthday left us a little less excited. But our friends are so awesome that it doesn't matter what we eat.. and we ended the night with Ted and Wally's.. so we'll call that a win.
a: banana bread (recipe to come!)  /  b: southwest soup  /  c: semi-homemade tortilla chips
Today we spent the day with family, hence why this post is going up so late.

Me and my favorite little guy today
Well, everyone's favorite guy
T and I spent the last hour tonight trying to plan our future, finances specifically. (yes, you have my full permission to giggle about how life will most likely turn out drastically different than we are anticipating. we're aware. but we are trying our best to keep the big picture in mind now so we set ourselves up for future success instead of failure.) We chatted about our dream area to live, dream housing, dream jobs, dream family... lots of fun dreaming in our home tonight! We also crunched numbers on how to pay off our school loans and what may be a realistic timeline. I love that we have continual discussions about our goals and that we continually adapt and refine them as we go. I think we are starting to better define what we hope for after all this schooling is over. For a while we had very little direction and it made planning difficult. (Just for example, my salary can differ drastically by speciality and some specialties are only located in certain geographic areas. Add T's uncertain business future on top of that and it makes for very difficult planning!)

So that's a little about this week for ya. We are trying to put on our best attitude for this coming week- it also appears to be a week full of work! I have a friday afternoon test which is a new thing PLUS, we are supposed to get that wicked snow storm Thursday afternoon... so that will be exciting I'm sure. Have a great week!
