M2- WEEK TWENTY FIVE

Surprise! (if you are reading this from the blog instead of an email) We have a new blog design! It started with a want to procrastinate, a friend changing her blog banner, a new picture of T and I.. and it snowballed from there. A hour or so later just about every detail of the blog had at least changed colors. Unexpected, but fun! The picture came from a friend's iPhone during the Superbowl- thanks D! This blog is a fun project, but it can be time consuming if you let it. It's a constant battle for me to not tweek and adjust every post a thousand times. I read quite a few blogs daily, and it can be challenging to not compare my blog to theirs and let their "perfect pictures" or "flawless posts" get to me. I suppose that is life... trying to constantly improve and live up to your full potential without letting jealousy and a negative attitude creep in. But don't worry, today I am content in my perfectly-imperfect-amateur blog. It lets me connect with all of you! So what more can I ask for?!

Did you enjoy last week? I had a test Saturday over 2 weeks of psychiatry lectures. Two weeks of material (40 hours of lecture- 120ish question test I think) felt so much more manageable than our more typical three week exams. Afterwards, we met two of our fantastic friends at a new-to-us restaurant for lunch Saturday. Have you hears of Lisa's Radial Cafe? We are hooked. I had the stuffed french toast at the bottom of the picture, T had a philly, R had a breakfast sandwich and E had a smorgasbord. It was awesome. My only suggestion is that if you have a need for personal space, ask for a table not a booth. It took some semi-yoga moves to fit the two of us girls into the booth. It's all good though. R and I shared a dorm room for a couple years- we know the drill. Oh. It's also cash only.

Saturday afternoon we had the opportunity to help T's mom purchase a new mattress. So we headed to the Mart and I drooled over all the dream kitchen setups. It went like this:
(k) "T!!"
(t) "What Krista?" said with a little less enthusiasm
(k) "Dude! Guess how much this fridge is! Don't look! Just guess."
(t) "I don't know. $5,000?"
(k) "No! Its TEN THOUSAND DOLLARS! It's not even as cool as that other one!"

So we did that like twelve times- continually shocked at the difference in price between brands/models/etc. We also played the "guess-what-kind-of-appliance-this-is-game". Do you know what I am talking about? All these dream kitchens have built in ovens, fridges, etc that just look like kitchen cabinets. So one of us would pull a random cabinet and then the other would guess what was behind the magic door. Half the time we couldn't even figure it out. The kitchen would already have like three ovens, a steamer, capachino machine, beverage fridge, fridge, freezer, ice maker.. so what is that other thing?! Who knows! Anyway.. its a total blast if you like to drool over fancy things like I do.. :)

Saturday night we crashed at our friends' house, ate awesome stuffed pizza, baby-shower-cake, popsicles, chess bars (see why we are friends!) and watched a movie/yapped until T was dozing off. Have I told you lately that I love our friends?? They are the best.

Oh! And early this week another awesome friend had a cute mustache-themed baby shower. So much fun this week!

I am teaching the women today at church so it's time to publish this post and review my lesson. Have a fantastic week!

  1. That's funny that you feel self conscious about your blog because I always compare mine to yours! You're always so fun and positive and creative. :)
