M2- WEEK EIGHT

CELEBRATION
This weekend my wonderful hubby had a birthday. Friday night, we jumped in the car and headed to Newton, IA so that T could enjoy his birthday present: driving 12 laps in a race car. Sadly, Saturday morning it poured, so the racing was a no-go. T will have to reschedule it. So the big questions are where & when? We are thinking maybe Houston instead of Iowa this next time...

Today we celebrated T and my dad's birthdays with my family. We have such a good time with my family- good eats, good sweets, ping-pong, and other shenanigans. T's gifts were right on: dress shoes, cream soda, and an automatic nerf gun.

SCHOOL
We had an interesting set of lectures this week.. we learned about forensic pathology. We looked at pictures of gun shot wounds, stabbings, and a variety of different deaths. It made me want to watch CSI to see if their depictions are realistic. For me, it was one of those things that was fascinating to learn.. once. Definitely not a career thing. Other than those lectures, we have been studying viruses and medications.

VACATION
Finally, we would love some input from all of you. We are thinking of cruising again this year, this time to Alaska!

Our itinerary would be:
Seattle, Washington > Alaska Inside Passage > Juneau, Alaska > Skagway, Alaska > Tracy Arm Fjord, Alaska > Victoria, British Columbia > Seattle, Washington

Have any of you traveled to Alaska? What should we do in these cities?

Also, we may drive to Seattle so we can stop and see some friends out west. Any suggestions of places to stop along the way? Thanks friends!
