This week..
— was sort of a blur. We spent some nights down in the playroom with a toddler who decided it was impossible to go back to sleep in the middle of the night. He also had a diaper rash then 2 spots in his tongue that his doctor mom quickly knew we’re Hand Foot & Mouth. Except this time Mom also got the rash and had miserable hands and feet over the weekend! I have a new layer of sympathy for my patients!
— Elle has 3 blankets tied together which we are forbidden from untying. “They’re in case I need to rescue anyone out of the water!” Not sure what water she things we have nearby but at least she is thinking of others! She is in a new classroom at daycare (“preschool”) and she made the transition very gracefully! We went back to Holdrege on Saturday and she picked up right where she left off with all of her old friends. It was bittersweet because it was so nice to have most of those friends right in our backyard but it’s great they are still so close. I walked in to the playroom and the girls found a whistle. So, naturally, the girls were taking turns being the gym teacher with the whistle and if you didn’t have the whistle, then you had to change yoga position every time the whistle was blown haha.
— Callum has new jibber jabber. He often sounds like he is yelling “done” or “dad”. He is experimenting with volume and tone and gets a kick out of being repeatedly loud. He had his 15 month checkup and he is still near the top of the growth chart. Unfortunately, he has another angry ear infection so we are back on antibiotics. Thankfully, he’s been a good medicine taker! We still often bribe him with his favorite candy, Hershey Kisses!
