WHAT. A. BIG. WEEK.
— we closed on our new house on Monday! We loaded up a Uhaul (in HUGE thanks to my parents who helps load and keep these squirrelly kids occupied) and started moving! By the end of the week, we had 2 large trips of boxes/belongings at the new place.. some completely unboxed and some strategically stored because we have both wood floor refinishers and carpet cleaners scheduled in the next few weeks. Speaking of wood floors, we had the pleasure of disassembling a piano and moving it off the wood floors (into the former workout room). Can’t say we’ve done that before! We also welcomed a friend over to help explain all the fancy cords/wires/speakers going on throughout the house. Yes, life is pretty chaotic right now.
— Elle said no less than 100 hilarious things. She’s convinced “they have a Barbie Jeep too!” and doesn’t quite remember that this is OUR new house. She stuffed a toy under her shirt and prompted me to ask her “What’s in your belly?” She then slowly sat down, placed her hands gently in her lap, and said “I have a story to tell you. I went to the doctor and.. I HAVE A BABY BOY AAANNNDDD A BABY GIRL IN MY TUMMY!” She then went on to doodle on scrap paper and at one point pretended to write “my don’t even know how the babies come out. My don’t even know…”
