This week..
-- we went to the UNK homecoming football game with friends. The big girls ran the inflatable obstacle courses and bounce houses non-stop. Elle didn't do the harnessed trampoline because she "only wanted to do it if Mom could buckle her". The girls got free pom poms and beads so they are basically set up to be let down at every future football game. Elle continues to have a huge imagination. This morning she insisted she needed to write "directions" in my hard-cover book I had on my nightstand. I explained to her that we don't use pen in books and she quickly replied "MOM! I can do what I want!". So.. there's that. Cal is growing like crazy. He's eaten this morning as many ounces as he often eats a full day at daycare. I just ordered his fall wardrobe in 9-12 month size (remember, he just turned 5 months) but already the clothes fit without extra room. We also went to the pumpkin patch with other friends. The girls sprinted through the fields complimenting each other "Oh yes! That's a great pumpkin for you!". They helped each other carry their favorites when they got tired and they were equally thrilled about the pizza and Bug Juice for dinner. Despite the pitch blackness, they wanted to stay long beyond when we left. Cal was a great sport at the patch but was miserable on the 30 minute drive home. Thankfully, Elle didn't mind the stops to soothe him as she has a new obsession, the 2nd Trolls movie. She thinks it's hilarious that they babys are born by popping out of their hair and she thinks "Tiny Diamonds" rap ("Tiny Diamond is my name!") is just "so funny Mom!!".
xo,
Kristas
