| "Tickle tickle baby brother!" |
This week..
-- Cal has been with us for 2 weeks! (We are still 1 week ahead of his actual due date.) He grew perfectly between his last doctor's appointments. He continues to be a very easy-going baby who basically only cries when he is hungry or getting changed. Elle continues to be obsessed with him. T transitioned back to work fairly smoothly this week. We spent nearly every night at a local playground to help this rambunctious sister burn off some energy. 3 years old is hard! She is so dang sweet... until she isn't. We need to fine-tune quite a few parts of her routine -- bedtime has gotten lengthy (and too late!), we aren't fully potty trained, she has been a poor dinner eater but then exclaims "I'm so huuuuunnnnnngry!" the rest of the night while she eats us out of house and home. For now, we are still going to give ourselves the grace of new-baby-land but soon we will have to start having a little more discipline. Elle picked out a pretend pizza set at the store and now has a restaurant set up in our living room. Many times each evening she yells "Want some pizza?! What toppings do you want?!" Except she always makes you choose all the vegetables.. She now commandeered a tubberware container that holds a few stray book pieces that are her "menus". About once/night she'll demand you go outside, she'll open the front window, and make you order through the window. We're going to have to order a delivery pizza because she doesn't believe that is a real thing so she refuses to bring my pizza across the house - I have to pause cooking dinner or whatever chore I'm working on to come pickup my pizza!
