This week..
-- Elle experienced her first high school football game! We walked the couple blocks from our house and met up with my coworkers in the stands. She loved the time with her friends and the non-stop snacking. There are 9 young kids between our group of providers so she had plenty of playmates. It's our turn to buy kettle corn next game because Elle sat down next to the family with the popcorn and at nearly half the bag. Elle insisted on packing her "purse" (full of snacks!) which she wore the entire evening. She and her BFF Rosie alternated bites of their hotdog, rice krispie, and box of rasisans. There was only one apple-sauce-squeezed-on-to-the-bleachers incident. Unfortunately, bedtime falls after the 3rd quarter but we enjoyed the time we had!
-- Elle no longer requires a toy to pretend to talk on the phone. She'll be walking along the playground, put her hand up to her ear, and start chatting "Hi Rose. Hi Gigi Pap pap. [pause] uh huh. okay. [pause] bye!" Each phone conversation now ends with pushing the "off button" and an audible "beep!". Sometimes, she tries to call and "Gigi Pap pap.. busy.. no talk me". It's so fun to see her little imagination come to life! She has rekindled her love of puzzle when she was gifted a few 24-piece ones. She finds the 4 corners, completes the edge, then fills in the middle. Our conversations are most often about Daniel Tiger, her BFF Rosie, fruit snacks, or which playground she wants to visit. We had family pictures taken this week and I can't wait to see what expressions they caught!

xo,

Krista
