This week..
-- Elle's vocabulary continues to blossom. Just over this weekend, we now hear "let me see please!" on repeat whenever we're walking away from an animal or something else she has her eye on. She discovered pine cones and will be forever entertained because our next door neighbors have thousands on their tree. We've started a little collection in her bucket that she adds to after every walk. She is happy when she is outdoors - no matter the weather. We still walk each neighbor's retaining walls, wave at our friends through their dining room window, and stop at the fences of the puppies to gawk like it's a zoo. The TV is starting to hold her attention so we've watched a few things like Disney On Ice. We've had a few full-blown tantrums (the most recent from wanting her own Dilly Bar from DQ instead of sharing one) but overall she is still a very happy, easy-going girl!
-- continues to be surreal for us as so many lives have changed and ours is fairly normal. Yes, T is working from home. But daycare is open. My work schedule the same with the addition of a few more meetings. We were already homebodies that didn't frequent the grocery store often and did a lot of shopping online. We are now trying to frequent take-out from a few of our family-owned, local restaurants because we are in a position to do so. It's a blessing to be living in the midwest where we get to learn best-practices from the coasts and overseas but it has it's own interesting challenges. These next few weeks will be really telling.
xo,
Krista
