"I want to talk to Gigi and Pap pap!"

This week..
-- life looks different as T works from home. My routine hasn't changed much so I almost forget the rest of the world is home for the time-being. Don't get me wrong, COVID19 has invaded nearly every hour of my day with the non-stop intrusion of new information. We, thankfully, don't have any severe illness in town yet so us healthcare workers are exhausted with the worry of "Are we prepared? Is my local community listening? How do I ensure everyone else isn't getting ignored?" Our clinic has switched to "healthy" visits in the morning and any fever/cough/congestion in the afternoon. We try to do as much over the phone as possible. We're starting tele-health this week.
-- Elle is very excited about "neighs" aka horses. She has clicked on the same silly video (it highlights all the equipment on a ranch) because it shows a few frames of a horse. She's expanded her puzzle collection to include a few floor puzzles and a matching game puzzle. Her "yessssssss" game is also strong as of like 2 days ago. It sounds sassy because it is so enunciated and it has made us giggle more than once. Stop it still lacks an S "dop it!" but she is redeeming herself with yesssssss. We have a few new toys that arrived at the perfect time! She has one of those body-less dolls you use to style their hair to save both of our scalps (and sanity!) because she loves to do "hair!". Finally, my favorite new toy is a set of "stepping stones" which are basically a more creative balance beam where you can spread the different stones in different configurations for her to jump between. We're making the best of all it right now!

xo,

Krista
