-- started with my "inservice exam" in Kearney, NE (a 3 hour test to monitor our progress towards boards at the end of residency). As unpleasant as tests can be, I did get to try a fun new restaurant in Kearny (A Flippin Sweet Burger Joint) and make a trip to Target -- so no complaints here!
-- T and I both volunteer with the teenagers at church so we helped them run a Halloween Carnival at and host a "trunk-or-treat". You know how little Halloween spirit we have (10+ years together, never dressed up!) but we bought costumes this year --> Maverick from Top Gun and Carmen Sandiego (the adults were jazzed about my costume but the teens had no idea).
-- we were able to get back to Omaha to help officially move T's Mom to Grand Island! We both have a few sore muscles but it otherwise went well. I think we are all relieved its over :) The 36 hours went so fast but we were able to sneak in a birthday lunch for a friend and, of course, took a break for the Husker Game. We did have to finish painting the last two ceilings after the game (and in the dark!) but we finished all the projects on our list! We had been toying with moving to a different rental in Grand Island next summer but the reality of the work took some of that glamour away..

Krista
