-- we ate a lot of chocolate (fondue to be exact!). My schedule leaves us so little time during these hospital rotations that I couldn't commit to dinner with friends (even though we wanted to get together to celebrate a friend's new job!). We settled on something simple - chocolate fondue! It was delicious but being with our friends was even better. You really cherish the time you have together when it is so few and far between! We enjoyed milk AND dark chocolate fondues with cream puffs, strawberries, clementines, banana, Girl Scout cookies, Oreos, and Pringles as dippers. YUM. I highly recommend you find an excuse to have the same treat..
-- I've been living vicariously through a friends travels! T and I have been itching to plan another trip but there is just no way to take any meaningful time off for many months. We are hoping to find a future cruise that straddles two calendar months so we can make it work. Until that happens, this was the perfect treat because I could follow along with their text & picture messages as they explored another country! Isn't it amazing that we have the technology to stay in touch with thousands of miles between us?! I love being a millennial!
-- T is being amazing and keeping our home running! He's been our full-time chef, maid, errand-runner, and launderer (those are so not a words.. but you get what I'm sayin'). He also spoiled me with some fancy new work shoes via free shipping/returns at Nordstrom. I tell ya, he's the best! I'm super excited to have another pair of "warm" dress shoes - so many of my dress shoes leave the top of my foot completely exposed. That sounds like such a diva thing to complain about but it's totally miserable when I'm running between hospitals for rounds/clinic/OB in the middle of winter! Plus, my favorite dress shoes were purchased in 2003... It was time for an upgrade!

Krista
