Year-of-life 25 looked like..

-- new credentials, MD, added behind my name and an incredible European cruise to celebrate!
-- a lot of conversation about the future including planning for our move to Grand Island to complete residency
-- spontaneous dinner parties with friends- sometimes with fancy drinks & cheeses, sometimes with simple soul food
-- many, many friends' baby showers and a few beautiful weddings (they seem to get better as our friends get older!)
-- listening to many hours of podcasts like this one while doing chores around the house. I love the minimalism movement- it's a perfect balance to the hectic world of medicine!
-- working 80+ hour work weeks but loving my coworkers and the people I get to care for.
-- escaping the noise and stress of the city to spend time in nature at our cabin
-- upgrading some of our "starters"- a new car, an organized office, some non-drugstore makeup, and some higher quality shoes for work
-- savoring time with family when possible- I learn every day not to take anything for granted, especially our health!

I'm looking forward to what year twenty six has in store for us! The number sure sounds older than I feel.. but I also never expected to experience as much in a lifetime that we've packed in to a few short years! We're expecting to move to Grand Island, to complete another big test, and to continue the hobbies we love: sports, new foods, and time outdoors-- but I'm curious to see what else life will toss our way.

xo,
Krista
