This week I...
-- sent a Pinterest idea to T and he made his own antipasto skewers for a good day at work. He assembled them with green olives stuffed with garlic, mozzarella cheese, salami rounds, black olives, chunks of pepperoni, and cheese tortilini. They looked delicious!
-- ate way too many sweets at Grams' 75th birthday party. I was a total grazer which is not cool because I'm also currently trialing a workout subscription. It counteracts all my hard work! But I love spending time with T's family- especially to celebrate such a fabulous woman! Love you Grams!
-- enjoyed attending a friend's wedding with T. It's always a fun reminder of our wedding day which was already over four years ago. Isn't that wild?! Our wedding day was pretty perfect but our marriage has been even better. I won't get off track on a mushy rant but T truly is the best husband and I am so lucky to call him mine!
-- rented the movie Interstellar and I highly recommend it to everyone! I know it's old news to most people, but it was a phenomanal film. I love movies that either make you think or give you a little different view of mortality - and this one definitely fits those categories. It's at Redbox if you haven't seen it yet!
-- delivered zero babies. It's been a slow month! Now, that doesn't mean I haven't been working, I just haven't been delivering babies. Instead, I've spent my day helping patients who come in with other prenatal concerns. But I'm hopeful that this week will have a little more action..
-- was at a stop light on my way to work and my brake pedal suddenly fell to the floor! My Honda has previously been super reliable but I'm not taking any chances with my brakes. Yikes. She's going to the mechanic first thing this week. My bet (after a Google search) is that is the master cylinder. TBD.
-- tried a couple new recipes when we had friends + local missionaries over for dinner a few nights ago. T and I both had to work a little late so we made pulled pork in the crockpot and a make-ahead layered green salad. I was skeptical- but it all tasted pretty good! We love getting to know new neighbors and having people in our home. It's so refreshing to be on a rotation where we can fit in a few more social things!
xo,
Krista
