HO1-- WEEK 2

This week was so much better than last week. I pretend like I'm invincible and that adjusting to a new rotation and new people each month is now routine -- but apparently it still takes a toll on my psyche. That, and jet lag is indeed a real thing. My stress level was high last week (along with my desire for self pity-party!) but this week was the total opposite. Sure, coming home after T is already asleep isn't my favorite schedule. But, this week I enjoyed my time in the ER.

I now have my fair share of "good stories" and it's time to switch to the emergency room at the VA for the remainder of the month. Because I switched a shift with another resident (making the beginning of last week a little brutal!) I ended up with today AND tomorrow off from work. I'm so excited to have some time to myself -- time to run errands, spend time with friends, get some chores done around the house, possibly get my car fixed, etc. I also have a couple surprises I am also working on that may or may not pan out...

I'm going to trial writing shorter blog posts. I love documenting each step of my training - but the posts with all the details and pictures are sucking too much of my Sundays. T is way more fun to spend time with then sitting at the computer. We'll see. I may hate these short posts and return immediately to whatever length of post spills out..

And because all posts need at least one picture, here are a couple I took on my way out of work the other night when I got caught without an umbrella in a down pour:

I took the 2nd picture to send to a friend for a good laugh.
Sure was glad I was wearing scrubs and not dress clothes! I was soaked!

Love you all! Enjoy a CWS game for me (though hopefully I'll catch one or two!).

xo,
Krista
