Today's my 25th birthday and I'm celebrating it with a comfortable Sunday at home with T. It's perfect. He spoiled me rotten by taking me out to dinner last night before "Pigskin in the Park". A local credit union sponsored a viewing of the Husker game on giant screen set up in Turner Park at Midtown Crossing. It was the perfect crisp fall weather for snuggling under a blanket :)
The best gift he bought for me is this beauty:
It's a totally ridiculous thermostat that you can control with you iPhone (among other amazing features including many energy saving functions). I've lusted over this product for a while because in our three-story home, we often have stagnant air & a hard time keeping our bedroom at a comfortable temperature. Now, when I'm feeling diva-ish, I can use my phone to either get the air circulating or turn on the AC/furnace. I'm super stoked. The time from opening the present to finalizing the installation was probably no more than 6 minutes because I was so excited.
Later tonight, my dad is bringing over brats for a mini birthday dinner. We will celebrate with dinner with the whole family next Sunday.
This has been a very busy month so far. I typically work 7 days a week,12 hour days with a 30 hour shift in the mix. This past week I got a whopping 2 hours of sleep on my 30 hour shift-- so my sleep schedule is a little off. I've been dealing with it surprisingly well-- mostly because T is a champ and holds down the home front. I am so blessed to have him in my life! He brings me so much joy :)
I hope you all get a chance to be outside this week and enjoy the beautiful weather. My goal is to find a few spare minutes to spend around the campfire. Have a great week!
xo,
Krista
