SI-- WEEK FIVE

This past week was my last with the Offutt AFB Pediatrics clinic.. at least this year. Starting tomorrow I'll be at Children's Hospital working with the Infectious Disease folks. I chose this next month as my elective for the year so that I can become more comfortable with two things: antibiotics and rashes. Before medical school I thought both of those things were pretty simple -- silly me!

The other big news from this week is that I had my first clinic where the patients were there to see ME.. not the doc I was working with. That was pretty surreal! At this point, they are just patients that are looking to be seen quickly and don't have another doctor. But one of the patients asked me to be her primary doc and already set another appointment with me! I figured it would be creepy if I followed her to the front desk and recorded her asking for the appointment.. ;)

T and I had a fun week full of dinner plans:
- Chinese takeout with some of our favorite people (Gma, Sue, Evan, and Susannah!)
- a delicious meal at Dario's Brasserie with some the family (minus R!)
- volunteering to feed two of the full-time missionaries in our area (they are so great!)
- and finally, a good old-fashioned campfire meal at the cabin:

Have a great week!

Krista
