+ I had my first official clinic this past week! Except, the schedule was goofed so I had no patients. But had that not been the case.. I could have been someone's primary provider! Maybe next time..
+ I spent the second half of my work week at ACLS training. I am now certified to go beyond CPR to help resuscitate someone including being the one running the code -- barking out orders for different meds and what not. We had to pass a written test as well as working through a fake code (like in this video). It's always fun to have some variety in the work week!
+ T and I have been loving this mild summer weather. We took advantage of the extra hours of daylight and played some ping pong with my parents this week:
+ Friday night we were able to be part of a surprise dinner for one of our friend's birthdays. This was T's first teppanyaki experience (he was much better at catching shrimp than I was!)...
+ Saturday night we had a housewarming party for some of T's high school friends - it was nice to see many people that we haven't seen in 5+ years (sorry, no pictures!)
+ Then the highlight of the weekend --> we got together with my family to celebrate my sibling's birthday! We love any excuse to be with our family!
This week at work will be similar to last week - the first few days I'll be in clinic and then the second half of the week is more life support training (obstetric and neonatal this time!). Enjoy your week!
xo,
Krista
