M3-- WEEK FORTY

Boy spring break went fast! We filled our time with friends, projects, chores, and a little trip to Kansas City! We'd booked the hotel and made dinner reservations two other times this year and both times we had to cancel last minute. We originally planned it in early February to celebrate T's graduation.. but at least we finally made it!

We stayed on the plaza at a fun new hotel - Hotel Sorella:
For dinner we dressed up and had delicious steaks at Capital Grille
We spent some time by the rooftop pool & fire before our movie (Divergent) started:
The rest of our time on the plaza was spent shopping and eating some more:
It's apparent by looking through my pictures that anytime T walks ahead of me I snap a picture..
These were from T's phone - he loved the spendy cars we frequently passed:
After leaving the plaza, we visited the new Kansas City Temple, Kansas Motor Speedway, then continued our shopping at Legends.

It was pretty much the perfect getaway. Nothing was very crowded since it was during the week.. the weather was beautiful.. we ate amazing food.. we pretended we weren't on a budget.. we shopped.. we laughed.. we relaxed. It really doesn't get any better!

Well.. I did almost buy an amazing purse - but thankfully (for the budget's sake!) I talked myself out of it and drowned my sorrows with a delicious carmel apple.. T actually did the most shopping! He scored a classic North Face jacket and some staples at the Gap.

Since we've been home, I've been working hard on repainting our dining set since we repainted the kitchen and installed new baseboards on the first floor. I am nearly finished.. so I'll wait and share those pictures next week. Of course, I didn't take any pictures of the thousand other social things we did - and many of those friends are moving in a couple months! Total fail.. Other fun from this break? We snuck some time with my Aunt and Gma. We also had T's mom over for breakfast (we served buttermilk pancakes and this syrup) before we watched today's two sessions of conference.

The last 3 months of this year will be Internal Medicine. I am going to learn A LOT. The hours will not be nearly as nice as psychiatry (or Spring Break!) so I definitely need to watch the clock and get to bed at a decent time tonight.  Ready or not! School is back in session!

Have a great week and enjoy this beautiful spring weather!

Krista
