M3-- WEEK TWENTY ONE

I finished up my time at Children's Hospital with a week on the 4th floor. The kiddos we took care of were a little younger and/or were primarily taken care of by the gastroenterologists. Day-to-day was similar to last week. This was probably my favorite week of the two.. the kiddos were more like what I imagine I'll take care of in the future.

Friday we had the day off from taking care of kids to do some simulations and test prep. I then had the pleasure of heading back to the hospital to be on call. I came home late Friday night and I celebrated the end of the week by sleeping until 11 on Saturday. It sort of made up for all the 0415 alarms... The remainder of the weekend was spent playing catch up.. cleaning, groceries, and cooking.

I said earlier this year that I was going to be a better hostess.. I vowed to quit letting things like a clean house or an intricately planned meal keep me from inviting friends over. So today, as I was putting together soup in the slowcooker before church, I decided we would invite over friends for dinner and try to put that vow in action. It was so worth it. We only asked our friends an hour or two before dinner, but it still all came together. I know life is sort of crazy right now, but I really hope that T and I continue to reach out to our friends in the free minutes we find! We are blessed to have amazing people in our lives :)

This was a short and sweet post, but I'm going to steal a few more minutes with my man before the weekend is over.

Have a great week and a Happy Thanksgiving!

xo,
Krista
