M3-- WEEK EIGHT

T had an awesome weekend-- he drove a race car! When grandpa heard that I had to stay back and prepare for my upcoming exams, he made sure T didn't go alone:

After 45 minutes of classroom instruction, T got to jump in and go!

The drivers had a spotter that would give instructions via radio when they passed each other.. but otherwise they were on their own.

T said that the g-force was pretty impressive- this track doesn't have much banking but he said you are still contantly pushed against the right side of the car. At dinner I made T explain all about the 5-point harness, Hans device, and escape pulls. I asked about how hot it was, what sitting that low in a car felt like, and what coaching they were given before they drove. T brought home a video (that can only be played on PCs) that has a camera on the track and one on his reaction.. it's going to be pretty epic to watch!
