Friday, I celebrated post-test with an epic nap. I felt like a small child hat afternoon because although I was completely exhausted, I fought the nap like crazy. Those precious hours could be used for chores, projects, friends, etc!! Eventually I gave in and I'm sure my whole weekend benefited.
Actually (and this may be totally boring to you) my nap threw off my sleep schedule so I laid in bed for probably 2 hours Friday night just thinking. It was fabulous! I used to do a better job of giving myself calm, quiet moments. I spent my time reflecting on life and things like age and how silly they are. For the most part, time seems to fly by super quick. 2 year of medial school are almost over- crazy! There are parts of me that still feel like a 15 yo girl, but, on the other hand, some days I feel like I could be 40 with a clan of children already. T and I have almost been married 2 years- that's all? I feel like we are way past newlyweds! Time is such a funny phenomena to me. (Sorry, just some raw thoughts..)
Anyway... how about some pictures of the weekend?
T snuck out of work a few hours early on Saturday (and let me be clear, by snuck I really mean that T was over on hours this week so his manager let him go early. Snuck just sounds more exciting, right? I try to keep things lively around here for ya'll...). We spent the majority of Saturday at my family's cabin playing with some new guns and enjoying the beautiful spring weather (and some more quiet! well.. between gunshots I guess). We ate typical campfire foods for dinner: hot dogs, hot ham & cheese sandwiches, s'mores and dessert in the pie iron.
How do you like to celebrate Spring? Do you wear bright colors? Eat different foods? Keep your blinds/curtains open more? (We like all of the above!) Have a great week!
xo,
Krista
