M2- WEEK THREE

The highlight of this week was a one-night get away T and I took. Do you ever just need to escape? We get the itch to escape the noise/stress/hustle of city life and spend some time outdoors. When we don't have much time, we love heading to my family's cabin. We started by roaming the trails on our ATV (there were tons of deer around!). Then, we spent time around the campfire dreaming about our future. Most of the time we don't stay the night, but this time we brought our tent. It was spectacular. The weather was gorgeous: cool but not cold. The stars were out in full force. And no humidity or mosquitos!

After our night away, we spent an evening with my family to celebrate my birthday (it is this Friday). I have the best family, like, ever. None of my siblings are currently living in Omaha and they all made it to dinner anyway. AND my Aunt and Gma made it. My mom knows I love food and she found a bunch of new recipes on Pinterest to try. After dinner we watched the (sadly stressful) Husker game. We love spending time with my family- we laugh so much!

Then tonight, we had some of our good friend's over for dinner to talk... cruising! They are looking at taking a cruise with us this summer.. hopefully to Alaska. They brought their sweet little girls over and I had a blast playing with them while T talked vacation details. They thought my white coat and stethoscope were pretty cool.

This coming week is going to be awesome.. well.. for T. He took the week off to burn some PTO, so he gets to mold this week into whatever he wants. I, on the other hand, am preparing for my first test this school year. YUCK. That means a big week of long days. But another day done is another day closer to my M.D. So, it's all good.
