What a fabulous week!

We had such a great week.. I don't even know where to start...

School update: we will finish this semester by studying the brain. Its super cool. Even cooler is our schedule. I'm sure I will have to study just as much, but we have less total hours of class because of how the lab is organized. Love it!

I also did some fun workshops this past week. I got to play with mannequins and practice intubations (putting in a tube for breathing). Then I got to try to find my friends' organs with an ultrasound. His heart is so big and generous that it was easy to find *wink wink*.  The work shops are all the fun technology without the (real) person on the other side. It's good stuff.

In my head, the black & white makes it look even more dramatic. I am going to have the coolest job!

Then the weekend got here and we played! Saturday morning I had breakfast with some girls while T took the four-wheeler to the shop. We are hopeful that the four-wheeler will be fixed for real this time. We spent the afternoon with this wonderful woman:

Can you believe my Grandma is 89? I can't either! It was so fun to pack the house with our family. Here is a snapshot to give you an idea of how many people came to celebrate:

Quickly counting, I came up with > 28. We had family in town from Kansas, Wisconsin, and Nebraska, of course. Because we spent Christmas Eve with T's family, this was the first time I'd seen a lot of my family since the wedding.

Saturday night we took another couple with us to an Omaha Beef game. We are such sports junkies. I love watching anything live, T loves any sport (period). blog fail. I didn't take any pictures at the game.

We started Sunday with our typical routine. After church we headed back to Gma's for a family history presentation of sorts. Gma has worked for years to compile this family history. Hours and hours later and we have these four fantastic books:

Now we have all the stories/birthdays/names in these pretty, organized books. Too cool. We even have color trees like this one:

And that is one of the smaller trees! (A big shot out to Aunt Sue for helping Gma organize everything) And a picture of Gma with the kids. Just cuz.

The siblings!

We ended the weekend with a grill out with our fantastic neighbors. We wheeled our grills into a grassy area and grilled BYOM style (bring your own meat). We have such a great time! The kids play, the adults chat, and of course, we eat fabulous food. I hear that T was 2/2 at winning the bean bag toss tonight. I hope ya'll found excuses to get outside and enjoy the beautiful weather. It is so nice, I may even wash my car this week :)
