Spring Break Year One

Ya'll get excited! Spring break is here! No, we don't have any fun trips planned. For now we are just living vicariously through our friends' travels until June when we go cruising again! Just for kicks, here are two pictures from Haiti (our favorite stop) on our last cruise:

But back from dream-beach-land and back to this week...

The beginning of this week was the typical work/school/eat/sleep routine. However, since Friday we have packed in a lot. We helped a friend move apartments, worked on the four-wheeler, helped a friend with his car,  got some sun bbqing with other friends, learned good stuff at church, and did our fair share of lounging around.

Saturday we also became first time members of Costco! Sadly, grocery shopping is a highlight of our busy student lives. We treated ourselves to frozen herbs, Cliff bars, and chewing gum. (I asked T to help me remember what we bought and he said to tell you "a crap-ton of lettuce, a crap-ton of peppers, a crap-ton of bread..." you get the idea).

We also experimented with chorizo. We were given a package of the spanish meat and weren't really sure what to make with it so impulsively mixed it with ground beef for burgers. It was really good! Cooking it on the stove was a splattery mess though. We still have half left so if you have any reccomendations we'd love to try making some else with it.

Finally we have been enjoying this beautiful spring weather by jogging together and grilling as much as possible. We are also anxiously awaiting our zoo pass and the re-opening of the aquarium. How are you enjoying the weather?
