This week..
-- was a typical summer week. We spent our evenings outdoor - Elle playing with neighbor friends, tending to the garden "Mama! Look! ku-kinis!", and walking to the "playground!" and on "big walk mama! big walk!". She is mastering "my" - today at the playground she told me how Gi Gi and Pap pap swung here with her and she gestured to the other swings and told me "MY dad" swung there and jumped off at the end! She's very sensitive to being scared right now - "daddy scare me!" or "big bug scares me!". She'll still talk about the dolphins we saw in the Bahamas in February and how they were "big and fast - scare me!". She continues to sing all day long - she especially likes to sing "happy birthday today!" and the Wheels on the Bus or Old MacDonald where she gets to call out each verse. During the hot minutes when we're staying indoors, Elle stacks her toys to trying jumping from higher heights. Just don't leave her out when you're working in the kitchen! "Let me see!" "I stir!"
