Elle's first slushie - a gift from the worker in the Taco Bell drive-through |
-- we are getting more and more excited for our end-of-February getaway! We've been spending our free minutes reading online tips for traveling with a toddler on an airplane/beach/Bahamas. I *think* I have everything we need in travel-size and a few new activities to keep Elle busy on the plane. It's a quick trip but it still required us to make sure Elle's swimsuits and summer clothes fit which they thankfully do! We ended up buying this super inventive stroller that folds small enough to carry on the plane so it feels like we will be traveling in luxury. Ha! We broke down and bought Elle a tablet (it seemed easier to parent with a separate tablet than using our phones AND it is setup only for kids so she cannot get on to any website or make any purchases no matter how many clicks she makes). So far, she enjoys the babyshark videos and a Curious George game best (she makes a monkey sound when she wants help finding that game lol).
-- Elle has mastered the word "cookie" instead of simply "cook-cook". She can sprint circles around the house for an impressive amount of time. She eats nearly non-stop and would really like to master cutting food with the side of her fork like Mom and Dad. She is sleeping later in the mornings so we now have to have the working-parent-guilt of waking her for daycare. She loves to talk about one of her friends at daycare, Rosie ("whoa-zieeeeee"). In fact, she usually doubles her name "whoa-zee whoa-zieeeeeee" and loves to name people and then proclaim that they are at home "ohhh-mmmm". I officially maxed the storage on my phone with over 15,000 photos and 2,000 videos of Elle since her birth. I've finally backed them up both on an external hardrive and cloud storage so I feel comfortable starting to delete. It's quite a process!
xo,
Krista
